The primary objective of this course is to equip graduates, regardless of their academic background, with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in IT Project Management. Whether they hold a level 8 degree in any discipline with some prior knowledge of Project Management or a level 7 degree with at least three years of work experience, the course aims to augment their abilities and prepare them for success in IT Project Management roles. Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on experience, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of project management principles and practices within the context of the IT industry. They will gain practical skills in areas such as project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication, all essential for effective project delivery in a commercial IT environment. By the end of the course, graduates will be equipped to navigate the complexities of IT projects, from initiation to completion, and to effectively lead project teams to success. They will have the confidence and competence to handle the challenges inherent in IT project management roles, making them valuable assets in the ever-evolving IT industry.
