MA International Relations

University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

Course Overview

Students who take the MA in International Relations course will have a modern, critical, and fascinating understanding of the whims of world politics. Experts in various disciplines who are actively engaged in research will teach a variety of modules to the students. The modules are evaluated using a range of methods, including non-traditional ones like podcasts, blogs, simulations, and essays, as well as traditional ones like presentations, essays, and critical reviews. The goal of these assessments is to develop and evaluate not only discipline-specific knowledge but also transferable, soft skills that are essential for future employment. A 12,000-word research dissertation on a topic of the students' choosing will also be completed. International relations are more important than ever, regardless of the conflicts in Ukraine, the oil crisis, the latest COVID-19 outbreak, or climatic emergencies. Candidates seeking work in fields requiring sophisticated research and communication skills, such as government agencies, non-governmental organizations, corporations, marketing, journalism, or postgraduate research, are targeted by this degree
