Welcome to our dynamic and immersive course in 2D Animation! In your first year, you'll delve into the fundamentals of 2D animation, exploring digital illustration techniques, life drawing, character and environment design, and delving into animation and film history for cultural context. As part of the wider animation program, you'll collaborate with peers in comics, concept art, games, 3D animation, and visual effects, expanding your network from the very beginning. The flexibility of our curriculum allows you to switch to a different animation degree course if your passion leads you in a new direction. Moving into the second year, you'll further refine your individual and illustrative style. Acting workshops will provide insights into character movement and emotions, which you'll seamlessly incorporate into your animations. Engage in real-world briefs, explore motion graphics, idents, and interactive media, culminating in the creation of your first short film. Exceptional works will be showcased in our prestigious Animation Exposé show, with opportunities to participate in international competitions like The Rookies. In your third and final year, you'll embark on an ambitious journey, writing a dissertation on a captivating area of popular culture linked to 2D animation. Simultaneously, immerse yourself in a groundbreaking final film project, where you'll demonstrate exceptional project management and leadership skills. Your animated short film will not only be featured in our Animation Exposé show but can be entered into awards judged by industry experts. Companies like Blue Zoo, Blink Ink, Golden Wolf, The Animation Guys, and Slurpy have been part of our esteemed judging panels.
