University Details

It was formed in 2017 as the University of Applied Sciences Europe by a merger of the Business and Information Technology School and the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule. The university was previously owned by the American company Laureate Education and was acquired by Global University Systems in 2018. In October 2020, the university changed its name to University of Europe for Applied Sciences.

Module 1: Sustainable and Responsible Development 1

 

This module aims to develop the student's knowledge on the evolution of the Environmental Culture, especially in the light of its interdisciplinary approach to face and solve environmental crises.

Module 2: Geopolitics of Water

 

The course aims to build the student's capability in autonomously dealing with geopolitical crises generate by water related problems, especially when in presence of transboundary water basins.

Module 3: Fundamentals of Hydraulics and Soil Conservation

 

The module covers topics in soil and water conservation, as well as in soil and water management by means of engineering solutions, with a wide overview on water cycles, maintenance, and resources

Module 4: Oceans and Seas

 

This course covers the actual developments in ocean's pollution and degradation with a focus on the growing importance of Seas in their role as main provider of future resources to feed a growing world population.

Module 5: Sustainable and Responsible Development 2 - Water and other Natural Resources

 

The module covers the different domains on human's exploitation of natural resources with a focus on water, analyzed also in the light of water footprint and virtual water indicators.
