In the last decade, there has been a surge in digital media production, encompassing streaming video content and interactive media. Today's digital media production companies necessitate adaptable and imaginative music departments that can thrive under tight deadlines and resource constraints. The MA program imparts specialized creative and technical skills in scoring for visual media, fostering interpersonal and management abilities crucial for steering creative projects to successful fruition. Expanding on this foundational skill set, the program allows students to refine and develop their own creative voices. This initiative is conducted in collaboration with Pulse College.

  2. Music Production with the DAW (5 ECTS)

    • Utilizing Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) for music production.
    • Topics: DAW functionalities, MIDI programming, mixing, and mastering.
  3. Composition for Visual Media 1 (5 ECTS)

    • Introduction to composing music for visual media.
    • Topics: Scoring techniques, synchronization, thematic development.
  4. Analysis of Music in Audio-Visual Media (5 ECTS)

    • Analytical study of music in various audio-visual contexts.
    • Topics: Film scores, television music, video game soundtracks.
  5. Royalties, Copyright and Contracts (5 ECTS)

    • Understanding the legal and financial aspects of music production.
    • Topics: Copyright laws, royalty collection, contract negotiation.
  6. Sound for Virtual Environments (5 ECTS)

    • Creating and integrating sound in virtual and interactive environments.
    • Topics: VR/AR audio design, 3D audio, immersive soundscapes.

Semester 2

  1. Orchestration (5 ECTS)

    • Techniques for orchestrating music for various ensembles.

  2. Creative Projects: Research, Development and Management (5 ECTS)
